We were asked to provide the worldwide marketing for the 9th International Orthodontic Congress that was being held online in October 2020.
With very tight timescales due to the change from a F2F conference in Yokohama, Japan, to an online event, we devised and implemented a marketing plan aimed at attracting orthodontists. We supported affiliated National Societies with marketing toolkits including social media content to help them to market the event to their members. Utilising the WFO social media channels, we created interesting and engaging content that resulted in over 6000 people joining the online event.
Working the conference speakers, we created a large number of videos aimed at promoting the lecture programme and encouraging those thinking about attending to sign up to attend.
Marketing for the conference was achieved through email marketing, social media marketing, network marketing, and video and content marketing.
