PREPARING FOR CHANGE

Our client is an established, successful mixed specialist practice based in the Midlands. They were concerned about the impact of the NHS re-tendering process and recognising the need to be proactive in developing their portfolio of private patients, engaged us to support their on-going practice development activities.

After reviewing their existing patient marketing initiatives and performing a detailed competitor analysis, we made a number of recommendations for the longer-term development of the practice. Working with all members of the team, we identified opportunities for improved patient engagement and developed and implemented their new marketing strategy. We supported the introduction of a treatment coordinator role and working with the management team, supported them through the change process as new working practices were introduced.

By providing an on-going comprehensive range of marketing and practice development services to the practice, we have enabled them to focus on the key patient engagement activities required to grow their private patient portfolio.

We were invited to work with a highly respected, London based, specialist private orthodontic practice to review their digital marketing activities and to refine their patient sales and engagement processes and to support the introduction of a treatment coordinator.

After meeting with the practice owner, we reviewed, from a patient’s perspective, their marketing activities to identify where improvements could be made. We were able to identify a number of changes to their social media marketing and website and to provide recommendations for the development of their patient engagement activities.

To implement the recommendations, we hosted a workshop with all team members to support the introduction of the practice development strategy and to increase their understanding of the importance of effective patient engagement. We worked with the practice team to increase their skills and confidence in applying their learning from the workshop. We also provided training to the newly appointed treatment coordinator and through ongoing coaching, supported their development in the role.

BRITISH ORTHODONTIC SOCIETY – MEMBERS WORKSHOP

We delivered a one day workshop for members of the BOS Orthodontic Specialist Group on ‘Developing your Private Practice’. The day focussed on four key themes, strategy, people and culture, processes, and marketing. The central theme was how effective patient engagement can support the development of your practice and during the day participants had the opportunity to reflect on their current practice and what changes they would need to implement following the workshop.
